CyberLink’s "standard agnostic" video player for mobile TV provides automatic switching between DVB-H, DVB-IP and T-DMB standards, enabling a hassle-free solution for mobile TV users who move between countries.
CyberLink Mobile TV Solution for DVB-H
The standard for Digital Video Broadcasting to a Handheld (DVB-H) makes it possible to deliver live broadcast television to a mobile handheld device. CyberLink Mobile TV Solution incorporates standard technologies to support the playback of A/V bitstream and ESG (Electronic Service Guide) data via standards-based devices.
CyberLink can deliver this support because CyberLink DVB-H Solution provides all the key components of DVB-H for mobile devices, and is compliant with the DVB-CBMS specifications for IP Datacast over DVB-H. Functionality includes:
- Tuning the DVB-H receiver
- Playing HE-AAC v2 audio and H.264 video received over a broadcast carrier
- Parsing and displaying ESG data, which is XML-based content.
In addition to DVB-H, CyberLink is developing other mobile TV solutions for mobile devices, such as T-DMB. CyberLink will also offer the easy integration of leading commercial digital rights management (DRM) and conditional access (CA) solutions.

- IPDemux – for capturing and de-multiplexing IP packets which can contain either ESG-related data over a FLUTE/ALC protocol, H.264 video payload over a RTP protocol, or HE-AAC v2 payload over a RTP protocol.
