PowerDVD Live & CyberLink Cloud FAQ

For questions about subscribing to and activating PowerDVD Live, using CyberLink Cloud and the CyberLink subscription service, check out the FAQs below.

1. What is CyberLink subscription software?
  • CyberLink subscription software (i.e. PowerDVD Live) entitles you to use the full functionality of CyberLink software, with the ability to renew your subscription quarterly or yearly.
  • CyberLink subscription software allows you to get to the latest version of PowerDVD Ultra at no additional cost, as long as your subscription is still active.
2. How do I renew my CyberLink subscription?

The CyberLink subscription offers two renewal methods.

  • Auto renewal: Auto Renewal is a convenient option that allows you to automatically continue your subscription without interruption. Auto Renewal is convenient, particularly if you are not good at keeping up with renewal dates.
  • Manual renewal: Customers have to login to CyberLink Members Zone and pay to renew the subscription.


Use the following procedure to renew your subscription software:

  1. 1. Sign in to CyberLink Members Zone
  2. 2. Click Manage My Subscriptions on the left side of the page.
  3. 3. Click Renew in My Subscriptions area.
  4. 4. On the subscription checkout page, you can select the payment method.
  5. 5. Click Submit to complete your renewal purchase.
3. Can I use CyberLink subscription software offline?

You can use your subscription software offline, however, the software requires that you connect to the Internet at least once every 30 days to ensure that your software is up-to-date and that your subscription is still active.

4. Is my subscription license transferable?

No. CyberLink subscription software and CyberLink Cloud are not transferable.

5. Will I be notified when my subscription is about to expire?

Yes. We will send you a message via e-mail before your subscription is set to expire.

  • For users who purchase the Quarterly subscription plan, the e-mail will be sent 10 days before the expiration date.
  • For users who purchase the Annual subscription plan, the e-mail will be sent 30 days before the expiration date.
6. When my subscription for Cyberlink Cloud expires, what will happen to the files previously uploaded to Cyberlink Cloud?

Please note that we will erase/delete all of the media files that are stored on the cloud storage once your subscription expires. We recommend that you back up your files before your subscription for CyberLink Cloud expires.

7. When my subscription for CyberLink software (i.e. PowerDVD Live) expires, what will happen to the files previously uploaded to Cyberlink Cloud?

Please note that the complimentary cloud space will be deactivated once your subscription software has expired or the refund for the subscription software is submitted.

That is to say the remaining cloud space will result in a lower size after your subscription software is expired or refunded. e.g.



  • A user purchased PowerDVD Live + 10 GB of complimentary space for one year on 2014-01-01.
  • After that, the user placed an additional order to purchase 50 GB of CyberLink Cloud space on 2014-06-01.


For this case, the cloud storage space that the user can use would be:


Note: Users cannot upload/ download/ delete media files on CyberLink Cloud once the subscription software has expired or was refunded.

8. How do I check and manage my subscriptions?

You can easily check and manage your subscriptions through the CyberLink Members Zone by following the steps listed below.

  1. Sign in to CyberLink Members Zone
  2. Click Manage My Subscriptions on the left side of the page.


On the Manage My Subscriptions page, you can find the status of your subscription software and CyberLink Cloud

9. Can I cancel my subscription?

CyberLink offers a 30 day money back guarantee for subscription orders. You are allowed to request a full refund within 30 days after your purchase date.


To cancel the order and receive a refund, please send an email to: customerservice@asknet.com.


After 30 days from the purchase date, the subscription cannot be returned.

10. What are the payment methods/ options when ordering subscription products?

It depends on your subscription method:


  • For Auto Renewal, we accept credit cards only.
  • If you choose Manual Renewal, you can pay for subscription software with a credit card, through PayPal, and via a bank transfer.
11. What does CyberLink Cloud do?

With a CyberLink subscription software, you can upload and download media files that are supported by CyberLink software to CyberLink Cloud.
