Creating a Rainbow Loom Style Title

Rainbow loom has recently exploded as the latest popular trend for kids and teenagers. Invented back in 2011, it shot to popularity in 2013, and now there have been over million units sold all over the world. In this tutorial, we will show you how to create a Rainbow Loom style title for your video with CyberLink's PowerDirector.

Creating a Title

Launch PowerDirector >> enter title room (shortcut key: F7) >> click on the "Create a New Title" icon to enter the Title Designer interface.

Type your title text in editing window. Here we have typed "Rainbow Loom"

Right click on the text to enter the Font Panel. Select the font type, and size you desire.

You can also drag or reposition your title within your videos workspace.

Changing Font Color

As the name implies, the Raindow Loom font color will be composed multiple colors. To get this effect, we can use PowerDirector's Gradient Text Color feature.

Enter the Font Panel >> select "Font Face Settings" >> select "4 Color Gradient" in Fill type.

Click on the 4 color boxes to change colors.

Now your title looks like rainbow!

Add a white border around your text. You can also add some reflection effect under the text.

Now your title looks totally different!

Animated Motion Effects

To make your titles even more fantastic, you can add some motion effects to your text by selecting the style you want in the "Starting Effects" and "Ending Effects" section.

To make the motion of your text smoother, you can enable the "Motion Blur" effect on your title. This will adjust the frames between text animations, making your effect look smooth and real.

Now your title creation is done, click "Save" to save the title to Title Room.

To use the title, simply drag and drop the title onto your timeline to overlay on video or photo tracks.
