How do I implement the chroma key (green screen) feature in CyberLink PowerDirector Mobile Android?

The chroma key feature can only be applied to the media on the PiP tracks, by doing this:

  • 1. Select a video* or photo on the PiP track.
  • 2. Tap the Edit(pencil) icon on the left and then select the Chroma Key option.
  • 3. Tap chromakey and move the color picker to the preview window to pick a color from the video image.
  • 4. Tap chromakey again to apply chroma key.

According to the End User License Agreement of each CyberLink product, you can use the video codec, e.g. H.264, HEVC, etc. by the terms of GRANT OF LICENSE & USAGE RESTRICTIONS in the agreement.

If you would like to use the media content to produce your multimedia productions for commercial usages, you are advised to contact the concerned 3rd party media content providers to get authorization for commercial use.

For instance, you can apply the sample music that is included with CyberLink program to produce your video, and then upload it to the YouTube platform.

* The PiP video overlay capacity of the SoCs is dependent on the device manufacturer's customized Android operating system.
** The maximum number of PiP video overlay tracks allowed is dependent on the hardware capabilities of your mobile device. PowerDirector Mobile will auto detect your device’s hardware capability and enable up to 8 overlay tracks (of which, a maximum of 3 can contain video) if it can support that many tracks.
How do I add a custom font in CyberLink PowerDirector Mobile Android?

To add a custom font in the Title Designer of CyberLink PowerDirector Mobile Android, do this:

  • 1. Open the file browser app.
  • 2. Find your font file* and then copy it to the following folders**:
    - If your device OS is Android 10 or below, please copy your font file to the folder: //PowerDirector/fonts/custom/
    - If your device OS is Android 11 or above, please copy your font file to the folder: /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.cyberlink.powerdirector.DRA140225_01/files/fonts/custom/
  • 3. Go to the Title Designer in CyberLink PowerDirector Mobile Android, and then begin using it in your titles.

CyberLink PowerDirector Mobile Android supports the installation of TrueType fonts and OpenType fonts, but OpenType fonts require Android 8.0 or above.
The capabilities of the fonts, such as the number of words, are dependent on the specification of the fonts.
What can I do if my PowerDirector Mobile/PhotoDirector Mobile displays the message “Your current Google Play Store account has no purchases” when I try to restore my purchase or subscription?

Google allows users to sign in to multiple Google accounts on a single mobile device. When the primary Google account on the device is not the one used to buy the full version or subscription of PowerDirector Mobile/PhotoDirector Mobile, this message displays when trying to restore the purchase.

To resolve the issue, it’s suggested that you follow these steps to set the Google account you used to make the purchase as the primary account on the mobile device.

  • 1. Uninstall PowerDirector Mobile/PhotoDirector Mobile app from the device.
  • 2. Make sure the account is switched in Google Play to the one you purchased PowerDirector with.
  • 3. Download PowerDirector Mobile/PhotoDirector Mobile app again and use "Restore Purchase" to restore the full version or subscription.

The quality/size of produced videos are affected by resolution and bitrate settings in CyberLink PowerDirector Mobile Android, by doing this:

  • 1. In the producing video page, change the resolution from SD to Ultra HD(4K)*.
  • 2. Press the Settings button and then click on Bitrate.
  • 3. Change the bitrate from Smaller size to Better quality.

The speed adjustment can only be applied to the videos on the top track, by doing this:

I can no longer download PowerDirector Mobile/PhotoDirector Mobile bundle version in the Play Store. What can I do?

PowerDirector Mobile/PhotoDirector Mobile bundle version is no longer available in the Google Play Store.

If your Google Play account previously downloaded PowerDirector Mobile/PhotoDirector Mobile bundle version, and you need to reinstall or update it by doing this:

  • 1. Launch Google Play Store app.
  • 2. Open menu and tap My apps & games.
  • 3. Select LIBRARY tab, find PowerDirector Mobile bundle and then tap INSTALL/UPDATE to start downloading/updating.

If your Google Play account never downloaded PowerDirector Mobile/PhotoDirector Mobile bundle version, but you have the activation code that was bundled with PowerDirector 12/13, please contact CyberLink Customer Support.

App subscriptions are managed by Google, not by the developers of the app. Subscriptions in Google Play renew automatically, unless you unsubscribe. The same rule applies when a free trial of an app has expired. Uninstalling an app will not cancel the subscription.

If you need to cancel your PowerDirector Mobile, PhotoDirector Mobile, or ActionDirector Mobile subscription, please follow the steps below:

  • 1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store.

What can I do if I can't use the video overlay function on PowerDirector Mobile, even if my device's SoC is in the supported list?

If you can't use the video overlay function in the Android version of PowerDirector Mobile on a device with a supported SoC, you can follow the steps below to resolve the problem:

  • 1. Uninstall PowerDirector Mobile.
  • 2. Reboot the mobile device.
  • 3. Download and install PowerDirector Mobile immediately after the device reboots.
  • 4. After PowerDirector Mobile is installed, launch PowerDirector Mobile and then leave it without any operations for one minute.
  • 5. Create a project to check if the video overlay feature works normally on the device.

Do not install or use the mobile app until you have read and accepted all of the license terms. Permission to use the mobile app is conditional upon your agreeing to the license terms. Installation or use of the mobile app by you will be deemed to be acceptance of the license terms. Acceptance will bind you to the license terms in a legally enforceable contract with CyberLink Corp.

PRIVACY POLICY
Some of our products may send an anonymous event/signal to CyberLink backend server to collect information for the purpose of improving the end user experience, such as for example: -When our product is installed and/or uninstalled.

Please note that a trial version may also collect anonymous information and/or send crash report silently to CyberLink backend server for product improvement program.

MOBILE APP LICENSE AND LIMITED WARRANTY
This EULA is an agreement between you, the end user, and CyberLink Corp. ("CyberLink"). By using this mobile app, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA.

If you acquire the MOBILE APP under an individual license it is for your own use under the general terms above.

**SUBSCRIPTION LICENSE
The MOBILE APP is licensed for subscription purposes. You agree that CyberLink may change the version of the MOBILE APP provided to you at any time without liability to you. Ongoing access to Subscription MOBILE APP requires a working internet connection, CyberLink receipt of recurring subscription payments and agreement to the terms of use and/or service for Subscription MOBILE APP to be found on the downloading site. The rights granted to you herein will cease after a specified time period and the MOBILE APP usage is time limited, after expiration of which it may be disabled.

CyberLink does not license the above items for commercial use and you are advised to approach the relevant licensing agents at the above addresses for more information.

UPGRADES
If this copy of the MOBILE APP is an upgrade from an earlier version of the MOBILE APP, it is provided to you on a license exchange basis. Upon your installation and use of this copy of the MOBILE APP, you agree to voluntarily terminate your earlier EULA and you will not continue to use the earlier version of the MOBILE APP or resell or distribute it to another person or entity.
USE OF MEDIA CONTENT LICENSED BY THIRD PARTIES
You may use pictures, audio, video, thumbnails or other media content (media content), if any, provided in the MOBILE APP, which may be licensed from third parties, to demonstrate, complete or upload your work created by the use of the MOBILE APP to social media platforms; provided that you should not use the media content in any illegal, public performance or commercial or immoral manner, nor shall you grant your right to use to any third party. CyberLink does not provide any warranty or representation to these media content items from third parties and disclaims all liabilities to the maximum extent allowed by law. Please note that the use of media content licensed by third parties is subject to your purchase of MOBILE APP or a valid subscription with CyberLink and in no event shall such use of media contents licensed by ECHO MUSIC go beyond 31st July 2021.

Should any other warranties be found to exist, such warranties shall be limited in duration to ninety (90) days following the date of delivery to you. In no event will CyberLink's liability for any damages to you or any other person exceed the amount paid for the license to use the MOBILE APP.

You agree to bear the full, complete, and sole responsibility for using the MOBILE APP for any purpose. You also agree to indemnify and hold CyberLink harmless from any claims, proceedings, damages, costs, and expenses resulting from your use of the MOBILE APP for any illegal purpose or violation of this EULA.

Upon termination of this EULA, you should destroy the MOBILE APP and the Documentation and all the copies thereof and remove and delete the MOBILE APP from your hard disk or other storage device.

This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between you and CyberLink Corp. This EULA shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Taiwan and shall benefit CyberLink, its successors and assigns.

Any claim or dispute between you and CyberLink or against any agent, employee, successor or assign of CyberLink, whether related to this EULA or otherwise, and any claim or dispute related to this EULA or the relationship or duties contemplated under this EULA, including the validity of this arbitration clause, shall be resolved in Taipei, Taiwan, pursuant to the Taiwan Arbitration Act.

This localized version of the EULA is for reference only. In case of inconsistencies between the localized version and the English version, the English version will prevail.

How do I back up my project files on Google Drive with CyberLink PowerDirector Mobile Android?

PowerDirector Mobile Android supports the packing of project files on Google Drive. You may upload project packs to your Google Drive to back up your project files. It also allows you to download project packs on different Android devices and keep editing.

To upload a project pack to Google Drive:

  • 1. Go to the homepage of PowerDirector Mobile Android.
  • 2. Swipe left on the project bar to the end.
  • 3. Tap "Upload/Download Project Pack".
  • 4. Select the project pack.
* If there is premium content in the project pack that was downloaded on the Android device with the free version, you still can export the project with the free version. However, if you edit the project, the app will ask you to subscribe to the app before exporting the project.

How Do I Buy Premium ($) Getty Images Stock Media in PowerDirector Mobile?

To buy premium ($) Getty Images stock media in PowerDirector Mobile, do this:

  • 1. Go to the Media Library.
  • 2. Choose “Video” then tap on “Stock video” or choose “Photo” then tap on “Stock Photo”.
  • 3. Choose “iStock by Getty Images”.
  • 4. If you download a clip with the “$” icon and import it to your project, the tab “Pay for stock content used” will show in the top left corner of the project.*
  • 5. Tap on the produce button.
  • 6. The dialog “Buy premium ($) Getty Images stock media” will inform you to buy to produce the video.**
*The maximum tryout limit is 10 clips. You will receive a pop-up message if you add the 11th premium ($) stock media to the timeline.

**You will pay for the additional stock media in the app and the payment method depends on your Play Store or App Store Settings.

    ※ To prevent the loss of files, it’s advised that you back up your projects and files to Google Cloud before clearing the cache.
  • 4. Enter the “Storage” page and then tap the trash can icon with the “Clear cache” title.
  • 5. Reboot the device and then launch the PowerDirector Mobile/PhotoDirector Mobile/ActionDirector Mobile/Ad Director app again and use "Restore Purchase" to restore the full version or subscription.
