Why can’t the trial version of CyberLink PowerDVD play back H.264, VC-1 videos and Blu-ray Discs on some platforms?

The trial version of CyberLink PowerDVD doesn’t include the decoders for H.264 and VC-1, which are the most common formats of Blu-ray Disc movies and HD video files.*

To play back H.264 video files in the trial version of CyberLink PowerDVD, users may need to have the Windows 7 inbox codec or a graphics card installed that supports hardware acceleration.

To play back VC-1 video files in the trial version of CyberLink PowerDVD, users may need to have other software VC-1 codec or a graphics card installed that supports hardware acceleration.

To play back Blu-ray Discs in the trial version of CyberLink PowerDVD, users may need to have a graphics card installed that supports hardware acceleration.**

Note

*   CyberLink PowerDVD Ultra, Pro and Standard include the software decoders for H.264 and VC-1 video files.

** The Ultra and Pro version of PowerDVD is capable of software decoding Blu-ray Discs. Before purchasing, please visit our website to learn more about the minimum requirement for software decoding.
