I got an error while uninstalling PowerDVD from Control Panel and need a cleanup tool.

Solution:

This issue can be fixed with the CyberLink CLCleaner tool.

Please download the cleaner tool for the version you used. (You may refer to the steps and pictures below to check the exact version installed on your computer.)


Steps:

  • Launch PowerDVD 
  • Click “PowerDVD” in the upper left corner

  • A pop up window (About PowerDVD) displays the version number and build number . (Version: 12.0/ Build no.: 1514.54)

  • Please download the cleaner tool for the version number displayed in About page.

How do I use CyberLink Cleaner Tool?

The following steps guide you on how to use the CyberLink Cleaner Tool that can help resolve CyberLink program installation/uninstallation issues.

Issue:

I got an error while uninstalling PowerDVD from Control Panel.

  • Unzip the downloaded CyberLink Cleaner Tool, which has a file name that is similar to "CLCleaner-product _version.zip".
  • Double click on "CLCleaner-product _version.exe" to run the tool.
  • Restart your system.
  • Reinstall PowerDVD
  • Uninstall PowerDVD from Control Panel

 

Note: The CyberLink Cleaner Tool does not entirely remove a CyberLink program, but helps resolve the installation/uninstallation issues.
