How do I install, activate and pair the Power Media Player app with CyberLink PowerDVD?

Power Media Player (formerly PowerDVD Mobile) is a program from CyberLink that runs on a Windows 8, iOS, or Android device. It lets you wirelessly stream videos, music, and photos from your computer to your device, or access all the media on your PC from your device. Power Media Player is available in the Windows Store, iOS App Store, or Google Play.

 

Install Power Media Player on your device

  1. Launch Windows Store, iOS App Store or Android Google Play Store App on your device.

  2. Search for "Power Media Player" and you will see there is a Bundle Ver. and a Paid version. Download and install the app that pairs with your PowerDVD version.

Note: Power Media Player Bundle Ver. is free for users who purchased PowerDVD Ultra version of PowerDVD 16, 15, 14, 13 and 12.

 

Activate Power Media Player Bundle Ver.

The serial number for Power Media Player Bundle Ver. is stored in the Ultra version of PowerDVD desktop application. Windows 8 and Android users need a serial number to activate Power Media Player Bundle Ver. on their device.

Follow the below steps to activate CyberLink Power Media Player Bundle Ver.:

  1. Launch PowerDVD on your PC.

  2. Select Power Media Player on the Devices or Home Media (DLNA) tab.

  3. Find the 8-digit serial number at the bottom of the window.

    Note: The user interface in the snapshots might differ slightly among PowerDVD versions.

  4. Launch Power Media Playeron your mobile device.

  5. Enter the 8-digit serial number to activate Power Media Player Bundle Ver.

Note: iOS users do not need to enter the serial number to activate the bundle version of Power Media Player.

 

Pair Power Media Player with PowerDVD

Before you can access and play media located on a portable device that is running Power Media Player, you must first ensure Power Media Player (on your mobile device) and CyberLink PowerDVD* (on your PC) are connected to the same Wi-Fi (wireless) network.

Make sure that multicast is enabled in the Wi-Fi router settings. If you have problem regarding the Wi-Fi and multicast settings, please contact your network service provider.

When using DLNA features of Power Media Player, please note:

  1. When streaming videos from Power Media Player to a DLNA TV, file format support is dependent on the supported formats of the DLNA TV.

  2. When streaming videos from one Power Media Player to another Power Media Player, streamable MP4/MOV files are supported on Android/iOS.

  3. When saving video from PowerDVD* to Power Media Player, video files are saved in the MP4 format on Android devices.

Note: Please refer to the latest version of CyberLink PowerDVD Specs. * The DLNA feature is not available in some versions of CyberLink PowerDVD. Please view the version comparison table to learn more.
