CyberLink Turns Targa Multimedia PC into Advanced TV Recording and Video Editing Center

Taipei, Taiwan----May 23, 2007----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader in digital home solutions, announced today that cooperation with Targa GmbH has created an advanced TV and video editing solution on the PC. The Targa Ultra AN64 5000+ Multimedia PC features CyberLink TV Enhance for TV recording and playback, CyberLink PowerDirector 5 for video editing, and CyberLink PowerCinema Linux (Targa Quick Media), for quickly accessing multimedia entertainment.

Targa's high-end multimedia PC, featuring an AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core CPU, an analog/digital TV tuner card for DVB-T and DVB-S TV reception, and running under Windows Vista, delivers its rich range of multimedia functionality via CyberLink's powerful consumer software.

CyberLink's Solution for Digital Home Entertainment on Targa PCs includes:

  • CyberLink TV Enhance: expands the functionality of CyberLink PowerCinema Linux and Windows Media Center by providing advanced TV recording and playback features such as always Time-Shifting; scheduled recording; PiP support for recording one TV channel while watching another, or viewing two TV channels simultaneously; and Internet Electronic Program Guide (EPG) support.
  • CyberLink PowerDirector 5: Video editing software with magic tools that lets users capture, edit and burn high-definition and widescreen videos from DV/ HDV camcorders; stabilize shaky videos and sharpen picture focus; create titles from templates; and add effects, transitions and title styles.
  • CyberLink PowerCinema Linux: Linux-based PowerCinema provides instant access to five entertainment modules: DVD/ VCD, Audio CDs, Music Clips, Photos, and Videos. The stylish and intuitive 3D interface, as well as support for operation via remote control, turns the PC into a multi-media center.
