CyberLink's PowerCinema is The First Standalone Intel® NMPR Validated Media Client Application For The Digital Home

Enables users to enjoy digital content anywhere on any consumer electronics device

Taipei, Taiwan----June 14th, 2004--- CyberLink Corp. (5203.TWO), a world leader and pioneer in providing integrated solutions in the digital home announced today that its UPnP-ready application, PowerCinema, is the first standalone IntelR Networked Media Product Requirements (Intel® NMPR) validated media client application, enabling consumers the freedom to access their favorite content anywhere, anytime in the digital home.

CyberLink's PowerCinema, demonstrated at the recent Computex exhibition in Taipei, is a digital home multimedia platform solution that transforms a PC into an all-in-one entertainment center. Featuring operation via remote control, PowerCinema offers access to movies, pictures, videos, music, TV, radio, DVD and the Web, letting consumers watch DVDs, create dynamic photo slideshows, and play and organize music tracks. PowerCinema also includes Always Time-Shifting TV recording, scheduled recording of radio programs, DVD burning of video files, and access to online help guides via the CyberLink website. Future options will include games, video editing, audio-video enhancements and online upgrades.

Intel NMPR is a set of development guidelines and tools to enable device manufacturers to deliver consumer products with faster time-to-market based on an interoperability framework that delivers the best experience in connecting devices to Intel-based platforms. Intel NMPR will comply with the Digital Home Working Group (DHWG) guidelines, enabling the development of multi-branded products and solutions to work better together.

The UPnP-ready PowerCinema is a digital media client player that features UPnP-based rendering technology for smooth accessing and viewing of video, music and image files while streaming them from a digital media server. Passing Intel® NMPR validation testing ensures that PowerCinema users have the best access to their multimedia content via other NMPR-validated devices within a home network.

"Intel has been promoting the digital home concept and is helping developers create digital home products that interoperate - that is, work seamlessly together - within the digital home. Passing Intel NMPR validation testing is a great honor and paves the way for CyberLink's plans for the Digital Home," said Dr. Jau Huang, Founder and Chairman of CyberLink. "CyberLink will continue to work with Intel to make all our products ideal solutions for OEM customers to build industry-standard digital home networking products."

"We are pleased that application developer, CyberLink, has validated their solution to the Intel Network Media Product Requirements," said Bill Leszinske, Director of Digital Home Marketing and Planning, Intel's Desktop Platforms Group. "We will continue to work with CyberLink and its standalone PowerCinema media client application to accelerate exciting consumer experiences in the digital home."
