Taipei, Taiwan----Aug. 23, 2004----CyberLink Corp.
(5203.TWO), a world leader and pioneer in providing integrated solutions for
the Digital Home, announced today that the Logitech® Cordless DesktopR LX
500 and Logitech® Cordless Desktop LX501 are now shipping with Logitech
MediaLife™, home entertainment software that was jointly developed by
Logitech and CyberLink.
Logitech MediaLife delivers a quick and convenient way of enhancing the PC experience
by making music, photo and videos files easier to access, view and play. The
software's large icons and intuitive navigation help turn the PC into an all-in-one
home entertainment center.
"We think the design of this software supports an easy and enjoyable user
experience, integrating multimedia features that can be operated by buttons
on a cordless keyboard ," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink.
"The integration of Logitech MediaLife with many of our cordless keyboards
will give people a powerful way to manage and experience digital media,"
said Denis Pavillard, Logitech director of product marketing for keyboards and
desktops. "It brings together all of the music, pictures and video on the
PC into a single intuitive interface, which makes a terrific complement for
our new products."
CyberLink began development of Logitech MediaLife in late 2003 to bundle with Logitech's desktop products. The Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 500 and Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 501, with Logitech MediaLife, will begin hitting retail store shelves in August.
