CyberLink PowerCinema, the First to Support 10-foot EPG for the Digital Home in Europe

Taipei, Taiwan----Oct. 27th, 2004----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader and pioneer in providing integrated solutions for the Digital Home, announced today that the all-in-one home entertainment center PowerCinema now supports remote-control operation of Teletext and Internet -based Electronic Program Guides (EPGs) in Europe.

"With remote-controllable EPG support, CyberLink has delivered the most comprehensive TV recording software solution on the market," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "It's great for our OEM customers because it offers a ready-made PC platform through which they can reach consumers, and it is really exciting for our end-customers because it improves the quality of their PC-based TV experience."

CyberLink's solution transforms data provided by subscription services into a user-friendly interface integrated within PowerCinema. This major innovation eliminates the need for users to leave PowerCinema to search for program details, and not only ensures easy navigation of TV program information, it also allows the scheduling of automated recording of TV programs.

The PowerCinema EPG solution is compatible with both Teletext and Internet-based services, providing a consistent screen layout with easy-to-use navigation controls. All PowerCinema features, including CyberLink's EPG can be operated via remote control.
