I'm a long-time user of Adobe products, so I have to compare. I find several things overly fussy - I spend a lot of time with the Help box open in the next monitor, referring back and forth, then finding out it's the same as (fill in the blank) on Adobe, but DS just named it slightly different. It's a bit inconsistent with hover bubble info - it's there on most things, but the more task-specific you get, as you get into layers of menus, the less those info bubbles come up. That's pretty much how I learn any new software, so I consider it a lack. So, while the learning curve is possibly longer than it might need to be, the functions available are pretty amazing.

Massive functionality which includes video editing, sound editing, photo editing and more. I have used Photoshop Elements and find the photo editing offers some advantages, but there are limitations too, or maybe I just haven't found functionality yet. Some things are easy to figure out and use, others not so much. No manual, of course, in the box. Possibly one to download. I'm impressed with the functionality I've tried so far. I'm a casual user, not a professional, and need something that is fairly intuitive.
