CyberLink Releases First Retail Software for Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD Burning, Power2Go 5.5 Next-Gen Edition

Taipei, Taiwan----May 3rd, 2006----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader in digital home solutions, today strengthened its credentials in the field of burning of Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD disc media with the online retail release of CyberLink Power2Go 5.5 Next-Gen Edition. The new release delivers an extremely versatile burning solution for data, videos, photos, and music by offering an application that supports all disc formats.

Next-generation disc support provides a major leap in the capacity to store personal data, with 15 GB for single-layer HD DVDs and 25 GB for single-layer Blu-ray Discs. Power2Go 5.5 offers total flexibility for burning discs, with support for today's complete range of disc formats: CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-RAM, double-layer DVD-R and DVD+R, BD-R, BD-RE, HD DVD-RAM, and HD DVD-R.

Enhanced security provides greater protection for valuable data files with password protection and 128-bit encryption. Disc file names and structure can also be hidden. Power2G 5.5 maintains the extremely easy-to-use interface of previous versions, giving users the power to quickly drag-and-drop files via Express icons on their desktop. Users can personalize the burning experience by changing Express icon skins and moving them around the computer desktop.

"CyberLink has been an early supporter of both Blu-ray Discs and HD DVDs, and while there has been much discussion about a format war, we believe the key issue is providing support for all disc formats: CDs, DVDs and now both types of next-generation discs," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "End users benefit in a huge way, not just from the new level of storage capacity but that Power2Go 5.5 Next-Gen Edition now makes the burning process even easier - and more secure."
