Digital Video Applications

CyberLink PowerDVD 3.0 is the most popular software DVD player in the market today featuring unrivaled functions allowing users to view high quality video and media-rich DVD contents on the personal computer. PowerDVD 3.0 has many new features, such as Dolby Headphone support, advanced digital zoom, AB repeat and dual subtitles, in addition to the long list of features from version 2.55. The proprietary MPEG-2 video decoding engine has been enhanced to deliver a sharper, more true to life picture. CyberLink's Dolby certified audio decoding engine of PowerDVD is better than ever, plus with version 3.0 a Dolby Prologic Decoder is included for multi-channel sound cards. Best hardware compatibility is one of the major virtues of PowerDVD as it supports most mainboards, graphic cards and DVD-ROM drives allowing users to easily setup personal DVD theaters right from the desktop computers. PowerDVD has won numerous awards and recognitions from major publications around the world making it the world's number one choice for high-quality DVD playback.

PowerVCR II Deluxe is a pure software digital video recorder (DVR) that offers more control and personalization than VCRs or hardware DVRs. PowerVCR II is designed to perform real-time, high quality, MPEG-1 and 2 video recording, directly from any video source (such as TV tuners, VCRs, DV camcorders, camcorders, and PC cameras) through video capture devices. Not only is video and audio quality superior to hardware DVRs, but PowerVCR II is more useful with features like Video Cut & Merge, Time-shifting playback and CyberEPG. Video Cut & Merge allows the user the option of editing programs they've recorded while Time-shifting playback allows the user to watch a program from the beginning while recording is still in progress. Best of all with it's CyberEPG function, PowerVCR II allows the user to go on-line to easily pre-select contents to be automatically recorded. PowerVCR II recently won the "Best of Computex 2000 Award" for its technology innovations and product features. All this, in addition to a list of other features, makes PowerVCR II the ultimate digital video solution for the PC.
