CyberLink Launches “Goodbye Plain Shots” Photo Challenge

Use PhotoDirector to test your photo editing skills, express your creative side and win great prizes

Taipei, TaiwanMarch 13, 2013CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a provider of innovative media creation solutions, today announced the “Goodbye Plain Shots” Photo Challenge – a fun new contest that will bring out the creative side of photography enthusiasts worldwide.  The company is providing a free trial download of its award-winning PhotoDirector 4 software for contest participants to use as a part of the contest. Winners will receive prizes ranging from professional grade DSLR cameras to the full version of CyberLink’s PhotoDirector 4 photo editing software.
 
Photo enthusiasts increasingly use the pictures they share with friends and post on social media sites to express their creativity and personality. CyberLink invites all photographers, from novice to professional, to join the “Goodbye Plain Shots” Photo Challenge and showcase their editing skills and passion while interacting with other enthusiasts from around the globe.

To participate in the contest, users can either submit a photo for others to edit, edit a photo submitted by another contestant, or simply “Like” their favorite edited photos. Up for grabs are the latest professional grade DSLR cameras and the full version of CyberLink’s PhotoDirector 4 software. The “Goodbye Plain Shots” Photo Challenge will run from March 7, 2013 to May 17, 2013.

“One of our primary goals at CyberLink is to inspire people to inject creative passion into their photos and also make it fun and intuitive for them to do so, whether its taking the actual photo or putting their editing skills to the test,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. The “Goodbye Plain Shots” contest is a platform to encourage this creativity as well as an opportunity to reward and show our commitment to our community of users.”

Goodbye Plain Shots Photo Challenge Details
CyberLink’s “Goodbye Plain Shots” Photo Challenge includes a total of 23 prizes allocated to the following categories:

  1. Original photo submissions;
  2. Edits of original submissions; and
  3. I “Like” it lucky draws.

Note: Photo submissions must only be edited using CyberLink PhotoDirector. All photos edited using other software will be excluded from the contest.
