Versions and Availability
The PowerDirector family has two sets of products. PowerDirector provides complete capture and editing capabilities for creating movie files for playback on PCs or web streaming. The Pro configurations add DVD and CD burning features for applications requiring living-room DVD player compatibility. The Pro version is available in three different burning configurations to meet the specific needs of OEM customers:

PowerDirector Pro DE (OEM):
Supports all popular optical media and burns directly to all popular DVD and CD writers. Disc formats include DVD, VCD, SVCD, and miniDVD.
PowerDirector Pro ME (OEM):
Targeted at PCs and high-value CD-R/RW drives, this version supports VCD, SVCD and miniDVD burning on CD-R/RW devices.
PowerDirector Pro VE (OEM):
Targeted at value-oriented CD-R/RW drives, the VE version authors in VCD format only.
