CyberLink and Siano Mobile Silicon Launch Ready-Made Hardware and Software Solution for Mobile TV on DVB-H

Companies announce Computex 2006 showcase of mobile TV solution featuring the SMS1000 chipset and CyberLink DVB-H TV Solution

Taipei, Taiwan----May 25, 2006----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader in digital home solutions, today announced the launch of a ready-made chipset and software solution for receiving and watching TV content on mobile handsets and portable devices.

The SMS1000 from Siano Mobile Silicon featuring CyberLink DVB-H TV Solution is a complete receiver-demodulator-player solution for mobile device manufacturers. In time for Computex 2006, CyberLink will demonstrate its mobile TV playback software at the Grand Hyatt hotel, Suite 1024 and 1049. Siano will showcase the SMS1000, on a Secure Disk I/O (SDIO) dongle, stacked in a PDA running MS Mobile 5.0 Operating System, featuring CyberLink DVB-H TV Solution at their Computex 2006 suite.

Following CyberLink's success in developing TV solutions for Windows and Linux platforms through products such as PowerCinema, CyberLink DVB-H TV Solution enables the decoding and playback of TV content accessed via receiver-demodulator chipsets like the SMS1000. The TV signal reception is performed by Siano's RF tuner and demodulating chipset, which is packaged as an SDIO dongle for mobile devices.

"The SMS1000, which is now in mass production, is the best choice of receiver chip for designing products supporting mobile TV, allowing designers to obtain high quality reception of multiple TV formats, at the lowest power consumption," said Alon Ironi, CEO, Siano Mobile Silicon.

"Our cooperation with CyberLink ensures an exceptional hardware and software solution, with each partner complementing on quality and design," added David Chang, Director of Business Development and Sales in Siano, who manages Siano's operations in Taiwan.

"Mobile TV is a major trend in the way consumers access digital television," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "Through our close cooperation with Siano, and our relationships with leading industry broadcast content and hardware providers, CyberLink is delivering a market-ready product for handheld makers."
