CyberLink Demonstrates HDTV Solution Supporting DVB-S2

Includes recording and playback of high-definition H.264 and MPEG-2 TV content via PowerCinema and Conexant Chipset Solution

Taipei, Taiwan----June 15, 2006----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader in digital home solutions, has announced TV entertainment center CyberLink PowerCinema supports Conexant's semiconductor solution for DVB-S2. Conexant's solution includes a DVB-S2 demodulator and forward error correction (FEC) decoder, third-generation 8PSK satellite tuner, and PCI audio/video (AV) broadcast decoder.

The close collaboration provides a sophisticated solution allowing the playback and recording of high-definition MPEG-2 and highly compressed MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) TV content on the PC. CyberLink's latest version of PowerCinema is on display at the Computex show in Taipei.

CyberLink's PowerCinema software allows users to:
· Receive and view MPEG-2 HD and MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) format video over a Satellite TV service
· Switch channels smoothly, by dynamically recognizing both playback of MPEG-2 and H.264 video formats in standard and high-definition
· Record and play MPEG-2 and H.264 video content in high-definition
· Support TV time-shift recording in the MPEG-2 and H.264 format
· Set up a DVB-S2 tuner via a TV settings wizard to operate new channels that support DVB-S2
· Support satellite TV signals in USA and Europe
· Access previous DVB-S features, including DVB-SI, EPG and Teletext (Europe)
