(5203.TW), a leader in digital home solutions, is showcasing the first solution for accessing high-definition pay-TV satellite services on the PC at IFA 2006. Partnering with leading TV tuner card manufacturer Hauppauge Computer Works, CyberLink has demonstrated the decryption and playback of subscription TV content.
The collaboration delivers a sophisticated PC solution allowing the reception, recording and playback of MPEG-2 HD and highly compressed MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) TV content broadcast via satellite.
CyberLink and Hauppauge have implemented signal reception, decoding, and
playback of protected DVB-S2 and DVB-S content through their software and
tuner card, in combination with the Hauppauge WinTV CI USB adapter.
The solution supports the following devices in order to play high-definition
satellite pay-TV:
