CyberLink PowerCinema Plays High-Definition MPEG-4 H.264 Broadcast via DVB-T TV Services

Product available for OEM customers developing HDTV media centers

Taipei, Taiwan----September 5, 2006----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader in digital home solutions, today announced all-in-one TV entertainment software for media PCs, PowerCinema, now supports the detection and playback of MPEG-4 H.264 video content broadcast using the DVB-T standard.

The MPEG-4 H.264 format allows transmission of highly compressed high-definition TV content, and is a key specification for HDTV in Europe.

  • Smooth channel switching, through dynamic recognition of both video formats in standard and high-definition
  • High-definition MPEG-2 and H.264 video content recording
  • Support for TV time-shift recording in the MPEG-2 and H.264 formats
  • Support for DVB-T, DVB-S, DVB-S2 standards
  • Support for programming information via DVB-SI
  • Set schedule recording via EPG
