CyberLink's Right-to-Disc Technology in PowerProducer 2 Shows Outstanding Performances on the Intel Centrino Platform

Taipei, Taiwan----June 17, 2003----CyberLink Corp., a leading developer of digital video software and e-learning solutions, announced today that the Right-to-Disc Recording feature in its PowerProducer 2, a software to author and burn movie and photos onto DVDs and CDs, shows better performances and less CPU requirements on the Intel Centrino Platform.

The Right-to-Disc feature fully leverages CPU power of the computer and usually requires higher CPU speeds for optimized performances. But that was not the case on the Centrino notebooks. ?Our benchmark shows that PowerProducer delivers much better performances on the Intel Centrino platform and works just as well at lower CPU speeds,? stated to Alex Weng, Director of Product Planning of CyberLink Corp. ?PowerProducer is the choice for Centrino users to quickly convert DV tapes onto DVDs that can be easily shared or stored.?

PowerProducer 2.0 is an easy-to-use software to author and burn home videos and photos onto DVDs and CDs. This new version features the Right-to-Disc technology that allows users to capture videos from DV camcorder and burn onto DVDs without the hard disk buffering in the process. This feature speeds up video transfer time and reduces hard disk requirement for the end-users.
