Taipei, Taiwan----November 19th, 2003----CyberLink Corp., a leading developer of digital video software and e-learning solutions, announced today the release of PowerDirector 3, the total solution video editing software featuring speed, quality and power. Targeted at the pro-sumer level, PowerDirector 3 offers both advanced and entry-level users the best way to enhance their camcorder videos and produce professional home movies via an intuitive dual-mode timeline and storyboard user interface.

"From start to finish, PowerDirector 3 offers a wide assortment of unique video editing tools and innovative technologies that makes it the best choice for anyone looking to produce movie masterpieces for the Web, PC or TV," said Alice H. PowerDirector 3 is built with patent-pending DV QuickScan technology for previewing digital videos 6 times faster than normal, US-patented SVRT™ II (Smart Video Rendering Technology II) to render edited video or audio individually, and a new version of the CyberLink MPEG Engine to highly improve video quality without compromising video rendering speed. PowerDirector 3 also features 40% increase in the number of video editing features and functions giving users more options to create professional-like videos. It provides two video editing modes: timeline and storyboard in an intuitive user interface. The key new editing features in PowerDirector 3 includes:

50% space is reserved for the timeline, for easy manipulation of six editing tracks including video, video effects, Picture in Picture (PIP), title, voice, and music.

New title editing options, such as applying shadow effects and gradients, let users personalize their movie style. 57 unique animation effects, including the new roll and crawl option, allow creation of title effects like those found in Hollywood films.

The new PiP designer can easily enhance PiP with dynamic motion effects, shadow effects or by adding borders. Includes a wide variety of adjustment tools, including color filter tools for replacing any specific color on a single object in an image or video clip.
