Taipei, Taiwan----Mar. 3rd, 2005----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a worldleader and pioneer in providing integrated solutions for the Digital Home, announced today it will showcase innovations including remote-control support for Digital Video Broadcasting ?Satellite (DVB-S) television on the PC at the upcoming CeBIT 2005.

PowerCinema is a CES Innovations 2005 Awards Honoree and was voted as Buyers' Choice at Computex 2004. The UPnP-ready CyberLink PowerCinema transforms the PC into a media entertainment center by giving access to features including Movies, Photo, Videos, Music, TV, Radio, online content and DVD burning via remote control. It is also both a digital UPnP Media Client and Media Server and the world's first standalone Intel Networked Media Product Requirements (Intel NMPR) validated media client application, giving consumers the freedom to access their favorite content anywhere, anytime in the digital home.

In order to offer a more comprehensive TV solution, PowerCinema now supports DVB-S, in addition to DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial) and analog TV, as well as Dual and Hybrid TV Tuner cards, With this support, CyberLink's European customers will be able to watch quality digital TV via satellite and view Electronic Program Guide (EPG) via Digital Video Broadcasting Service Information (DVB-SI). This means CyberLink PowerCinema now lets users access all three TV signals simultaneously, and hence enable an unprecedented selection of TV features on the PC, such as:
- Searching for program information via DVB-S and DVB-T, not only ensures easy navigation of TV program information, it supports scheduled recording of TV programs as well.
- Watching programs with one TV tuner while recording with another.
- Enjoying picture-in-picture functionality, allowing users to move the smaller frame within a 3 by 3 grid.
- Enabling always time-shifting playback for both tuners.
- Recording two TV programs simultaneously with different TV signal source if both tuners are based on hardware encoding.

"TV is essential to digital home entertainment, with DVB-S and remote-controllable DVB-SI EPG support added to DVB-T, analog and Dual TV Tuner card support, CyberLink leads the competition with an exceptional TV solution, featuring broad support for the digital home entertainment market," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink.

PowerCinema can be customized and branded for major PC manufacturers, and is currently shipping with tier-one OEM companies including NEC Computer International, Medion, Acer, BenQ, LG-IBM and Logitech.
