Taipei, Taiwan----October 14, 2005----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader and pioneer in providing integrated solutions for the Digital Home, hosts the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) seminar in Taipei today. CyberLink BD solutions - PowerDVD, PowerProducer, Power2Go, and InstantBurn - will showcase complete Blu-ray playback and burning compatibility.

As the leading next-generation disc format, Blu-ray offers considerably higher disc capacity, adopting core video formats such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC and VC1 and advanced technologies for enhanced disc interaction. With a strong focus on storing and protecting high definition premium content, Blu-ray has won the approval of leading manufacturers and major movie studios.

The second global BDA seminar held in Taiwan will showcase CyberLink playback and burning technologies from PowerDVD, PowerProducer, Power2Go, and InstantBurn, running on platforms utilizing MediaTek chipsets. Attendees include world renown manufacturers such as Sharp, ASUS, Lite-On, Ritek, Leader Electronic, Yokogawa Electric, and Ono-sokki.

"If MediaTek's chipset harnesses Blu-ray technologies, then it's CyberLink's playback and burning innovation that realizes and propels Blu-ray formats into the mainstream," said Ping-Hsing Lu, General Manager of Optical Storage at MediaTek. "The unprecedented high-definition and distinct advantage of Blu-ray technologies are very attractive to our customers, for we envision forging our partnership with CyberLink further and continuing to prosper together by providing and developing Blu-ray solutions for everyone."

"To be hosting the BDA Seminar in Taipei again is a testament to the important role Taiwan is playing in the adoption of next-generation formats and the leading role CyberLink has taken to advance Blu-ray technologies," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink Corp. "A converging of expertise at this BDA seminar, and our Blu-ray showcase of CyberLink playback and burning technologies, represents another step in fully realizing Blu-ray's vast potential."
