CyberLink Showcases Digital Home Software Solutions at IDF Fall 2005

Taipei, Taiwan----October 17, 2005----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader and pioneer in providing integrated solutions for the Digital Home, today showcased its latest developments for the Digital Home at the APAC Intel Developer Forum (IDF) Fall 2005. Solutions on display include:

Integrated digital home solution:
- CyberLink PowerCinema, the all-in-one media entertainment for the PC
- CyberLink MagicDirector, the automated video editing software that serves as a plug-in for PowerCinema and Windows XP

Media Center Edition
- CyberLink SoftDMA, the UPnP media player

Linux based solution:
- CyberLink PowerCinema, for Linux based TV entertainment PCs

Next Generation DVD playback solution:
- CyberLink PowerDVD, for playback of HD DVD content

“At the last IDF Fall, CyberLink PowerCinema turned the PC into a UPnP digital media server, now CyberLink SoftDMA provides a flexible solution for accessing media on the UPnP client side,” said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. “The Digital Home is about enjoying video and audio entertainment, and what better way to edit and burn videos or share across the network than with CyberLink’s growing range of Digital Home software solutions such as MagicDirector and SoftDMA.”

The integrated digital home solution on display demonstrates real-world scenarios for enjoying media within the Digital Home. The latest version of PowerCinema serves as a media server device, capable of sharing all types of media files to networked devices. MagicDirector is a plug-in module for PowerCinema, allowing users to turn home video shots into stylish movies. This movie can then be accessed and played on any other PC using CyberLink SoftDMA. SoftDMA is a software-based digital media adaptor designed for accessing media files from the server to a client device across a UPnP network.

CyberLink will also showcase the Linux version of PowerCinema that immediately turns a PC into a CE device. It features digital TV watching and channel scanning capabilities.

Additionally, CyberLink will be highlighting its latest development of PowerDVD to support playback HD DVD content – a next generation DVD.

About CyberLink SoftDMA
CyberLink SoftDMA is a software solution for accessing media from a Digital Media Server. SoftDMA provides an alternative to hardware-based Digital Media Adapters (DMA) that allow users to access and enjoy photos, music, and video over a UPnP network.
