I've used PD in the past and still do. It's my to-go-choice for video editing and will be for a long time. The creative packs that I received for free as I bought during a promotion period are also really useful. Only thing is that the tutorials in their Learning Center has videos instead of screenshots, might be easier to follow along with.

This is the most stable video editor I've gotten my hands on. I've only had about 2 crashes in the few months that I've had the program and I'm a professional wedding videographer so I work with this stuff everyday. Other programs that supposedly more professional and cost a lot more have crashed a lot more time on me. The Color Match tool also saves me and my team a lot of time when it comes to putting videos together for our clients after the wedding. We usually get the finished product to our clients 2 months after their wedding and with PowerDirector, the color grading is so much easier and accurate to the feel we're going for.
