Procedure for Software Update Download and Installation
Unless noted, software updates provided on this page are exclusively for retail and online purchased versions only. To check for updates for hardware bundled versions, locate the "About" dialog in the software, and then click on the "Upgrade" button. In the Upgrade dialog click the "Update" tab to see if there are any updates available. Also note that the software will pop up a notification periodically when there is an update available.

  • AVCHD discs produced in PowerProducer do not play back on a PS3.

The patch is relevant for users who have experienced the following problems.
Issue List:
  • PowerProducer freezes when entering Right-to-Disc/Edit Disc track.
  • 10 errors detected when launching [DVD-Audio/Video verifier] on the Windows 2000 platform and verifying the DVD-Video disc which was made by PowerProducer.
  • If another application's user account control (UAC) pops up while PowerProducer is recording TV, it only continues to record after the UAC is closed.
  • The TV preview window becomes black when you change the "Audio device" setting.
  • The DivX function is disabled after installing the DivX Codec.
  • There is no highlight on the menu when playing a disc made by PowerProducer.
  • PowerProducer does not support DDSC.
  • The file names of previous clips on a disc disappear after appending content on +VR discs.
  • PowerProducer supports [Defragment] function in PP4.0.

Installation Description:
  • 1.Extract the file "Clccrt.zip". There is one file contained within the zip file: "MUIReference.xml"
  • 2.Copy the file to "C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerProducer\MUITransfer" to replace the existing file.

  • Windows Vista OS compatibility
  • Issue concerning created disc playback on PlayStation 3.
  • PowerProducer fails to import a project file ".pds" that was created in PowerDirector.
  • [Auto Repeat] function is disabled after previewing the background music.
  • Cannot access the Right-to-Disc or Edit Disc functions with DVD-VR discs.
  • The background music in a slideshow without transitions does not repeat automatically when [Auto repeat] is selected.
  • After selecting a background image in the [Motion style] section of the [Customize Menu] page, PowerProducer hangs if the [Return] button is clicked.
  • After selecting [Preview] mode on the content page for a DVD with no menu, the [Author] and [Preview] icons are grayed out.
  • When importing a DVR-MS video file and setting it as [First play video], it's played as a black frame and the tool bar is grayed out on the content page.
  • The background music duration becomes "00:00:00" when the default menu is a user-defined photo.
