CyberLink PowerDirector 7 Optimized for Intel Core i7 Processor

Taipei, Taiwan—December 1, 2008—CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), an innovative solution provider for the connected digital lifestyle, announced today that CyberLink PowerDirector 7, the HD video editing software, is optimized for Intel's latest quad-core Core i7 "Nehalem" microprocessor to boost overall performance gain in HD video editing performance.

CyberLink PowerDirector 7 optimized for Intel® Core™ i7 processor-based PCs, achieves 112% of performance gain in overall HD video editing performance, from previewing, rendering to burning to a DVD or Blu-ray Disc. As a HD video editing solution, PowerDirector 7 takes great advantage of Intel Core i7 platform features such as Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT) technology, triple-channel DDR3 and Intel® QuickPath technology to boost its performance, while the 8MB L3 cache further speeds up its memory access speed.

"With high-definition going mainstream, CyberLink is very pleased to partner with Intel to let PowerDirector take advantage of the multi-processing computing technologies from Intel Core i7," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink Corp. "As a result, PowerDirector users can spend less time waiting and more time creating and sharing their HD videos."

CyberLink PowerDirector 7 features powerful yet easy-to-use editing tools for enhancing users' videos and producing polished video and slide show productions. PowerDirector 7 is the first open video editor that allows users to share and download custom designed PiP effects, animated objects and DVD templates from Directorzone, the community website for video editors.
