FaceMe® Achieves ISO 27701 Certification, Further Solidifying Data Privacy

ISO 27701 Certification Demonstrates FaceMe AI Facial Recognition’s Commitment to Enhancing User Privacy

In 2024, FaceMe achieved ISO 27001 certification, an internationally recognized standard for information security.  This certification establishes a comprehensive framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical, and technical controls, regulating information security management systems

Furthering their commitment to information security, FaceMe has now achieved ISO 27701 certification. An extension of ISO 27001, ISO 27701 outlines the requirements for creating a privacy information management system (PIMS). The requirements surrounding ISO 27701 are focused on managing and protect personally identifiable information (PII).

By achieving ISO 27701 certification, along with already being GDPR compliant, FaceMe further demonstrates its commitment to safeguarding user privacy and aligning with globally recognized data protection standards.

Advancing AI Facial Recognition While Safeguarding Personal Data

As stated, ISO 27701 is an extension of ISO 27001, with both falling under the ISO 27000 group of standards that are designed to protect critical information. However, they serve different functions. Where ISO 27001 focuses on information security, ISO 27701 deals with user privacy rights to protect consumers and adhere to worldwide privacy laws.

As a facial recognition provider, following the ISO 27701 global framework for privacy protection and processing of personally identifiable information instills a high level of confidence and trust for FaceMe customers. It demonstrates to clients and partners that FaceMe is undoubtedly committed to data privacy and security.
