CyberLink Advances Biometric Security with Enhanced IR+RGB & 3D Anti-Spoofing in FaceMe® SDK 7.8

Taipei, TAIWAN – February 13, 2026 CyberLink Corp.(5203.TW), a pioneer in AI and facial recognition technologies, today announced the release of FaceMe® SDK 7.8, featuring enhanced anti-spoofing accuracy and performance across IR+RGB and 3D camera environments. The update also introduces a new unified API and expanded device support, including for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, further strengthening FaceMe as a scalable, enterprise-grade facial recognition SDK for access control, identity verification, and secure authentication in security, smart IoT, and AIoT applications.

 FaceMe SDK 8.7

Enhanced Anti-Spoofing Accuracy and Performance

FaceMe SDK 7.8 delivers measurable improvements in both anti-spoofing speed and accuracy, helping organizations protect against increasingly sophisticated spoofing attempts:

  • 15% performance boost in high-precision mode for IR+RGB anti-spoofing.
  • 35% improvement in anti-spoofing accuracy on IR+RGB camera modules.
  • 56.8% improvement in 3D anti-spoofing accuracy on the RealSense™ D415.

The FaceMe SDK also adds support for the FangTec DCSG20 IR+RGB camera module, achieving 99.3% True Rejection Rate and 97.4% True Acceptance Rate in internal testing, providing enterprises with greater flexibility for diverse deployment scenarios.

Streamlined Anti-Spoofing Engine with a New Unified API

FaceMe SDK 7.8 introduces a new API that combines face detection, template extraction, and anti-spoofing into a single, streamlined interface. Available for Windows, Ubuntu x64, and Android, the new unified API reduces integration effort while maintaining high recognition accuracy.

Developers can now use a single interface for 2D, 3D depth, and IR+RGB cameras, simplifying deployment across multiple camera types without modifying existing applications. Existing integrations remain fully compatible, while new projects are encouraged to adopt the new API for faster, more secure deployments.

Optimized Performance on MediaTek Genio 360

The SDK is optimized for MediaTek Genio™360, delivering up to 84 FPS in facial recognition benchmarks with NeuroPilot™ acceleration. This enables cost-effective, high-performance AIoT solutions on Android-based edge devices.

Additional 7.8 Updates

  • Expanded platform support for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
  • Continued, full support for CPU and NVIDIA GPU acceleration across all features, including facial recognition, anti-spoofing, face attributes, and Person Re-ID.

CyberLink continues to push the boundaries of anti-spoofing accuracy, performance, and cross-platform flexibility,” said Mei Guu, President of CyberLink Business Unit 2. “FaceMe SDK 7.8 introduces a unified API that makes deployments simpler, faster, and more secure for global AIoT, access control, retail, and fintech solutions.”
