How do I use Intel Graphics to play HDR (High Dynamic Range) video files with HDR effect in CyberLink PowerDVD 18?
Applied to: PowerDVD 18.0

CyberLink PowerDVD 18 currently supports the playback of HDR (High Dynamic Range) video on HDR display devices via HDR supported Intel graphics processors.

To use your Intel Graphics for HDR video playback, do this:

  1. Connect your HDR display device on the display output that's powered by Intel graphic processor.
  2. Disable the HDR display feature in Windows display settings with the following steps.
    (1) Select the Start  button, then select Settings  > System  > Display .
    (2) Turn OFF HDR and advanced color.
  3. Launch PowerDVD, and then start the HDR video playback.
  4. Start the HDR video playback in full screen mode.

The HDR playback with Intel Graphics is only available at full screen mode. It will play in SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) mode if you leave full screen.
