In the last few years, the available technical support of Home Media (DLNA) from related PC software and hardware companies have gradually declined or ended service. Because of this, it has been difficult for CyberLink to keep supporting the Home Media (DLNA) feature in PowerDVD. Although we’d like to continue supporting the DLNA features in our programs, it is unfortunately no longer feasible.
Therefore, we are reluctant to announce that we’ve decided to remove the Home Media (DLNA) feature and migrate the support of home media feature to the media library sharing feature in new versions of PowerDVD released after Feb. 2021. The new versions of PowerDVD 365 and PowerPlayer 365 (released after Apr. 2020) and PowerDVD 20 Ultra edition now include the media library sharing feature, which lets users play the media in PowerDVD’s library via a home network (LAN) on PC web browsers, casting devices (e.g., Apple TV, Fire TV, etc.), or Android/iOS mobile devices using the PowerPlayer app.

For PowerDVD 365/PowerPlayer 365 subscribers that have a previous version installed, you can continue using the Home Media (DLNA) feature until your subscription expires by not applying the new version update released in 2021 Feb.
