How can I import subtitles from a text file?
Applied to: PowerDirector 7.0 , PowerDirector 6.0

You can import subtitles from a text file in the .SRT or .TXT formats. This allows you to compose your subtitles outside the program or retrieve them from another source and import them into PowerDirector.

To import a subtitle from a text file, do this:

  1. Click Subtitle Room button to open the Subtitle Room.
  2. Use the playback controls to locate the point where the dialogue that corresponds with the subtitle begins and then click the Add subtitle marker button.
  3. Click on the stop button on the playback controls to mark the end point for the subtitle.
  4. Click on the Import a Text File button .
  5. Select the text file that you want to import and then click on the Open button. The text will be imported into CyberLink PowerDirector as a subtitle.
  • Format the subtitle text as required by clicking the Format Subtitle button .
  • To remove a subtitle, select the subtitle marker and then click the Remove subtitle button.
