November 10, 1998 - Taipei, Taiwan - CyberLink Corp., the software expert in video and audio kernel technology, announced its newest version of CDWizard 3.0. The new version of CDWizard extends its functionality by being able to playback all types of audio and video files (such as AVI, MOV, MPG and DAT), non-CSS DVD titles or files (such as VOB, M2V and AC3), image files (such as BMP, JPG, GIF and PCX) and audio files (such as WAV and MID).

CDWizard 3.0 supports full screen, full motion video playback at up to 16 million colors. It also features a snapshot function to capture images where users can use the captured images to create slide shows or to create greeting cards from the Greeting Card Wizard application. Moreover, it comes with a Multimedia Album allowing easy access and retrieval of image, video and audio files.

The Intelligent Player
CDWizard 3.0 plays all types of CDs including DVD (non-CSS protected), Video CD, Audio CD, Photo CD, Portfolio CD, and CD-ROM. It also plays most popular video, audio files, such as MPEG files (*.MPG and *.DAT), AVI files (*.AVI), QuickTime files (*.MOV) for video playback; wave files (*.WAV), MIDI files (*.MID), CD audio files (*.CDA), MP3 files for audio playback; and image files as well, such as Photo CD files (*.PCD), bitmap files (*.BMP), JPEG files (*.JPG), and *.PCX. It also allows users to create a Play-list containing different audio & video media types and with shuffling capability.

More than Just a Player
CDWizard 3.0 features a snapshot button allowing users to take snapshot of their favorite images from any video or image file or CD-ROM. Users can create slide shows from the pictures taken and add background music to it as well. Easy-to-Operate Graphical Interface CDWizard features an intuitive user interface. Similar to a remote control of the home appliance, all control functions of CDWizard are represented as buttons on a shiny panel for easy access and operation.

Include Multimedia Album
The retail version of CDWizard 3.0 includes a multimedia album for easy search and retrieval of images and video clips. Include Greeting Card Wizard The retail version also includes a creativity center to make digital greeting cards. It comes with over 250 card templates and graphics. Users can compose greeting cards from captured images together with the provided templates and graphics.

Versions
CDWizard is available in Bundle and retail versions. The bundled versions are shipped in cooperation with PC cameras, mainboards, modems and notebooks suppliers. Retail versions are complete packages sold individually. Only the retail versions include Multimedia Album and Greeting Card Wizard applications.

Languages
CDWizard 3.0 will be available in English, German, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese. Both French and Spanish versions will be available soon.
