CyberLink Previews Breakthrough Video and Audio Software Technologies at CeBIT'99

Taipei, Taiwan -- CyberLink Corp., the leader in video and audio software kernel technology, will display its latest MPEG solution software at the coming CeBIT. CyberLink is renowned as the developer of CyberLink PowerDVD, the software solution for DVD playback and navigation. During CeBIT, CyberLink will display an array of video and audio solutions based on advanced kernel technologies to digitize, compress, store, playback and display media contents, and destined to make digital video applications easy to manipulate on the personal computer.

Software products on display will include:

CyberLink PowerVCR, the first Real-time software-only MPEG-1 recorder. PowerVCR captures video directly from PC cameras, camcorders, VCRs, and TV tuners. Together with its “cut and paste” editing features and CD-R recording function, PowerVCR allows users to create digital video contents right on the desktop computer.

CyberLink PowerDVD, the software-only DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) player, which brings high-quality movies and karaoke into the multimedia personal computer. PowerDVD allows users to playback high resolution MPEG-2 video with high quality 5.1-channel AC-3 surround audio. The new version of PowerDVD offers faster and larger amount of video frame rates which transforms to high performance video and audio playback. It also provides a complete set DVD navigation controls for full enjoyment of today's and tomorrow's DVD titles.

CyberLink Medi@Show, the newest software product to be previewed for the first time, is an easy tool to create multimedia presentations. Medi@Show allows users to incorporate video, images, graphics, sound and audio effects to their multimedia presentations. It also offers transition effects and a variety of display methods such as auto-demo, slide shows, screen saver, desktop wall-paper or even web sites.
