CyberLink Displays New Video and Audio Application Software for the Multimedia PC At Computex

Taipei, Taiwan -- CyberLink Corp., the video and audio expert will be displaying its newest video and audio application software at the coming Computex: PowerVCR and Medi@Show and the newest version of PowerDVD. Designed with the user in mind, CyberLink software fully utilizes the computing power of the multimedia PC to develop new applications that enhance productivity at work and offer enjoyment at home. According to Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink, "CyberLink software adds value to the multimedia PC by offering a variety of applications that users can benefit from."

PowerVCR integrates the computer with video and audio sources to record video directly into MPEG-1 format. It allows users to capture video directly from VCRs, PC cameras, handy camcorders, or TV tuners and transform raw video data into MPEG-1 format. Together with its editing functions, PowerVCR is opened to a handful of applications for both the business and home users. Now, corporate users may now develop their own company or product video, or customer service videos in-house and the home users may store their videos in digital format.

Medi@Show offers powerful functions to create and show multimedia presentations. It is capable of integrating images, video, audio and even PowerPoint files and supports many file formats to export, express and publish presentations, such as HTML format, screen savers, and executable file formats for direct playback without requiring additional software.

PowerDVD is a high quality, pure software DVD playback and navigation software that brings high quality DVD video into the multimedia computer. The newest version of PowerDVD now features DirectShow for better support of video and audio hardware. This version also support ATI, S3 Savage and SiS6326 motion compensation functions and offer the option to use S3, SiS hardware video acceleration. On the audio side, PowerDVD supports Creative SP/DIF AC3 audio, A3D/DS3D/Dolby Surround allowing users to build home theaters from their multimedia PCs.
