Introducing CyberLink's New PowerVCR II: The MPEG-2 Real-Time Recording Software with DVD Playback i-Power Brings you Real-Time Online Services

October 25, 1999 -CyberLink Corp., the leading Internet video and audio software application developer, will be demonstrating the new PowerVCR II at the upcoming Comdex Fall 99. CyberLink's PowerVCR II is designed to perform real-time and high quality MPEG-2 video recording directly from video sources such as TV tuners, VCRs, DV camcorders, camcorders and PC cameras through video capturing devices. Complemented with the MPEG-2/1 video editing function, it allows users to edit and record video clips making PowerVCR II the complete MPEG-2/1 solution for personal digital video recording and playback.

PowerVCR II features DVD movie playback capability providing users with high quality 5.1-channel AC-3 surround sound audio and MPEG-2 video playback. The ultra-speed MPEG-2 recording engine continues to record in the background without interfering movie playback.

The i-Power function provides users direct connections to real-time Internet service. From right within the application itself, the PowerVCR II Portal Page has unlimited Internet resources for creating and publishing video clips. Featuring the unique EPG (electronic program guide) service, PowerVCR II brings the most up-to-date TV programming and channel information allowing users to perform pre-schedule TV program recording. Consuming AVI files can be converted into MPEG video format, DV to MPEG, and VCD DAT format to MPEG-1.

Availability
