At this year's COMDEX, Intel will work with the industry to exhibit software applications optimized for the Pentium 4 processor at room LN-261 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). CyberLink PowerDirector Pro, the complete solution for making movies on CDs and DVDs, shall be demonstrated to show how the new Pentium 4 processor allows for fast, real time transcoding of video in DV format to high bit rate MPEG-2 format. Additionally, CyberLink PowerDVD, PowerVCR II and StreamAuthor take full advantage of the powerful Pentium 4 processor to perform video capture and high-quality encoding into various digital formats and rich-media presentations. With the Pentium 4 processor, featuring clock speeds up to 2 GHz, CyberLink software applications allow digital video production to be fast and enjoyable.
"The
Intel Pentium 4 processor gives consumers the power to create and edit digital
video on a personal computer, a task that was once only the domain of the studio
expert, requiring thousands of dollars and considerable expertise," said
Tom Burns, director of Intel's Internet Solutions Group in Asia Pacific. "We
are glad that CyberLink's product seizes the power of the Pentium 4 processor
to provide consumers with great digital video experiences."
"CyberLink's
strategy is to support Intel's major processor breakthroughs with groundbreaking
new applications that revolutionize digital media possibilities on the PC,"
said Johnny Tseng, VP of Research and Development at CyberLink. "The Pentium
4 processor allows our digital video applications to deliver exciting new experiences
to business and home users of all levels."
In
addition to exhibiting PowerDirector Pro at the Intel Show Room (LN-261), CyberLink
will also have a booth in the Recordable DVD Pavilion (L5555) to highlight the
extensive format support of its digital video product range. CyberLink will
be also hosting press meetings and offering full demonstrations of PowerDVD
XP 4.0 and new E-Training Solutions at the CyberLink Show Room at the second
floor of the LVCC, room LN-225.
