Why are Boris FX plugins no longer included with PowerDirector 365/2026 and later versions?

Due to the expiration of the contract with Boris FX, unfortunately we have decided to remove Boris FX plugins in new versions of PowerDirector 365 (released after July 2025), PowerDirector 2026 and later versions.

Except for the 3rd-party Boris effects, CyberLink keeps adding new templates and effects to the new versions of PowerDirector 365 from time to time. If you are not currently a PowerDirector 365 subscriber, but want to access the latest templates and effects, we recommend subscribing to PowerDirector 365 for the best editing experience.
