The Paint Designer, Shape Designer, Sketch Designer, Library Preview, and AI Copilot features have been removed in the new CyberLink PowerDirector 365 version (released in Jun. 2026). What can I do?

In the past few years, the usage rate of the Paint Designer, Shape Designer, Sketch Designer, Library Preview, and AI Copilot features have gradually declined.

As CyberLink continues to develop new editing features and adjust the user interface to adapt to each new PowerDirector version, it has become increasingly challenging to maintain support for these legacy functions. Therefore, we have decided to remove the Paint Designer, Shape Designer, Sketch Designer, Library Preview, and AI Copilot features from PowerDirector starting in June 2026.

．Paint Designer:
You can use overlay content available in the Overlays room to create highlight effects and visual annotations in your projects.

．Shape Designer:
You can use overlay content available in the Overlays room to create graphic designs and visual enhancements.

．Sketch Designer:
You can use overlay content available in the Overlays room to create stylized and creative visual effects in your video projects.

．Library Preview:
You can continue previewing media content directly from the Media Room and timeline while editing your projects.

．AI Copilot:
For editing tips, tutorials, and workflow guidance, please refer to the Learning Center and Blog resources.¹

We understand that the design and experience of these new or alternative tools may differ from the removed features. However, this change allows us to redirect resources toward expanding creative editing capabilities and AI-powered features in future versions of CyberLink software.
