Editing and trimming your video
Is your video too long for Instagram Stories? Or maybe you only wish to highlight certain parts of the video with your friends and family. This tutorial will show you how to split a video into different segments or trim a video using the multi-trim tool.
Splitting a Clip
You can split a media clip into segments on any track in the timeline. Move the timeline slider to the position where you want to split the clip,and then click the Split button (or press hotkey Ctrl + T).
Trim your video with cursor
Place your cursor at the beginning or end of the clip until you see a line with two arrows, then hold down the left mouse key to drag and trim the clip.
Using Trim Tool to Perform a Single Trim or Multi Trim
Select a video clip and then click on the Trim button above the timeline.
The single trim function allows you to trim the beginning and end of a video clip. Drag the mark in and mark out position sliders to your preferred positions and then click OK to finish trimming.
The multi trim function lets you trim out different segments in a video clip, creating independent clips from the original video.
Click on the Multi Trim tab and drag the mark in the position slider to your preferred position and then click on thebutton.
Drag the mark out position slider to your preferred position and then click on the button.
Repeat the above steps to trim out any necessary segments, then click OK to set your changes and trim the clip.
